Can American Akitas be friendly?
I'm curious, can American Akitas really be friendly dogs? I've heard some people say they can be quite aloof and territorial, but I've also seen videos of them playing and interacting with people in a loving way. So, is it possible to have a friendly American Akita, or is it more of a breed trait that they tend to be more reserved? And if they can be friendly, what are some things that owners can do to help nurture that side of their personality?
